This privacy policy explains what personal data FutureCoupon (futurecoupon.com, “we”, “us”) collects, why we collect it, who it is shared with and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and in plain English. It is written with the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR and UK GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in mind.
FutureCoupon is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at any time through our contact page.
The short version
- You can browse FutureCoupon without an account. We have no visitor registration and take no payments on the site.
- We only collect personal data when you choose to use a form, such as the newsletter or contact form.
- Our theme sets no tracking or analytics cookies for visitors.
- Stores and affiliate networks may set their own cookies after you click through to them.
- We do not sell your personal information.
What we collect and why
Newsletter
When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address and the page you signed up from. This is stored in our WordPress database so we can send you the newsletter, and the site administrator can export the list as a CSV file to manage it. We use the sign-up page only to understand which parts of the site lead people to subscribe.
Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to a newsletter or contacting us, and we will remove your address.
Submit Coupon form
The Submit Coupon form asks for the store name, offer type, an optional code, the discount details and a link to the store. It does not ask for personal data. Submissions are saved as pending coupons for review and a copy is emailed to the site administrator. Please do not include personal details in the free-text fields.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in publishing useful, accurate offers.
Contact form
When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject and message. These are emailed to the site administrator so we can reply. Contact form messages are not stored in our website database.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry, or taking steps at your request.
Spam protection on all forms
All public forms use a hidden spam trap and a limit on how many times a form can be sent per hour. To apply this limit, your IP address (and any forwarded IP address header sent by your connection) is converted into a hashed value and kept in a temporary record for up to one hour, after which it expires. We do not use it for anything else.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the site and its users from spam and abuse.
Emails you send us directly
If you email an address at futurecoupon.com, the message is forwarded to our mailbox by our domain provider, Namecheap. We use what you send only to deal with your message.
Free IPTV trial
The form on our free trial page is a shared embedded form provided and processed by a third-party IPTV provider service (iptvservices.online). It collects your name, email address, WhatsApp number, device and any notes you add, and that service emails the trial logins to you (one trial per email address). FutureCoupon does not receive or store this data. The provider’s own terms and privacy policy apply, so please read them before you submit the form.
Cookies
The FutureCoupon theme sets no tracking or analytics cookies for visitors. We do not run an analytics script.
WordPress itself may set cookies in two cases: for logged-in site administrators, and for people who leave a comment if comments are enabled. Comments are closed on articles by default.
When you click a link to a store, you leave FutureCoupon. The store, or an affiliate network working with it, may then set its own cookies in your browser, for example to record that you arrived through a referral link. Those cookies are controlled by the third party and covered by its privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Third parties we work with
- Hostinger hosts our website and its database. As our hosting provider, it processes the data needed to deliver pages to you, such as your IP address, and stores the data held in our database.
- Google Fonts. Our fonts are loaded from Google’s servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). This means your browser connects to Google and your IP address reaches Google when you view the site.
- Google Search Console. We use it to see how the site performs in Google Search. It is connected through a verification tag only; there is no Google tracking script on our pages.
- Namecheap is our domain registrar and forwards email sent to our domain.
- Stores and affiliate networks. When you click an outbound link, the store or network receives the information your browser normally sends when visiting a website, and may set cookies. See our affiliate disclosure.
- The IPTV trial provider (iptvservices.online) processes the free trial form, as described above.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
How long we keep data
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, after which we remove your email address and sign-up page from the list.
- Contact messages and emails: only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up.
- Coupon submissions: for as long as the offer is under review or published, and afterwards as part of our coupon records.
- Spam-protection records: up to one hour.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses used by those providers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from the newsletter;
- under the CCPA, know what we collect, request deletion, opt out of any sale or sharing (we do neither) and not be treated differently for using your rights.
To use any of these rights, send a request through our contact page. We may ask you to confirm that you control the email address concerned before we act. If you are in the EU or UK and are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
FutureCoupon is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We keep the data we collect to a minimum, hash IP addresses used for spam protection and do not store contact form messages in our website database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Please check back from time to time.
