FutureCoupon is free to use. To help cover the cost of running the site, some of the links on FutureCoupon are affiliate or referral links. This page explains what that means for you.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate or referral link is a link to a store that tells the store, or the affiliate network it works with, that you came from FutureCoupon. If you click one of these links and then make a purchase or sign up, we may earn a commission. You pay no extra cost: the price at the store is the same whether you arrive through our link or not.
When you click through, the store or affiliate network may set cookies in your browser to record the referral. These cookies belong to the third party, not to FutureCoupon. Our privacy policy has more detail.
An example: Temu
Some stores offer referral programmes rather than traditional affiliate programmes. For example, the link to Temu from our Temu page is a Temu referral link. If you use it, FutureCoupon may receive a reward from Temu under the terms of its referral programme. Your order, prices and any offers you get are handled by Temu as usual.
How it affects what we list
We want FutureCoupon to be useful, so we are clear about where commissions do and do not play a part.
- It does not decide whether an offer is listed. We list coupons and deals because they can save shoppers money, including offers from stores that pay us nothing.
- It does not change how we describe an offer. A commission does not buy a store better wording or let it skip our review.
- It does mean some stores have an affiliate link. Where a store has an affiliate or referral programme, we may use that link for the “Go to store” button instead of a plain link.
We cannot guarantee that every code works, as stores change their terms. If an offer is wrong or expired, please tell us.
How affiliate links are marked
Outbound links to stores are marked with rel=”sponsored” in our page code. This tells search engines that the link may be commercial, in line with their guidelines. This disclosure is meant to meet the spirit of the US Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements, and similar rules in the UK and EU.
